Born in Czech Republic, Lenka is the architect founder of Atelier HOLCNEROVA.
With an eye for art, the ocean, vibrant people and novel ideas, she lives and works in Lisbon where she has found her world and work within where architecture, sculpture and culture meets.
Lenka graduated in 2013 with diploma thesis “Between ocean and land: Urban Coastline as a Source of Renewable Energy”.
Her education and work have taken her all the way from Czech Republic to Croatia, Russia, New York, Spain and finally Lisbon where land meets the ocean and sky and life is touched by the Atlantic breeze.

Ela has studied Biomimetics in Energy Systems at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences in Austria where she has worked on designing a novel solar thermal system.
Ela has collaborated as a renewable energy specialist in Atelier HOLCNEROVA. She dedicates her time working on our antique furniture refurbishing line Armazém & Atelier as well as other active projects of atelier. Ela is writing her diploma thesis to empower the water systems of a favela neighborhood of Lisbon as part of one of Atelier’s renewable energy projects.
Ela is a writer and human rights advocate.
Elena is a Spanish architect graduated from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. She has a passion for social sustainability and environmental architecture. She did her thesis project on building palette houses for refugees in Sancti Petri, Cádiz in Spain.
Elena collaborated in projects of rehabilitation of old buildings in Lisbon and redesigning an old vintage toy shop into a 5 star hotel in Badajoz. She was part of the main team of Armazém & Atelier, our antique furniture refurbishing line as well as Boomgaardplein Europan 14 competition team.
Elena speaks English, French, Portuguese, German and a bit of many other languages and loves traveling.
Elisa is an Architect graduated from Polytechnic University of Bari. In the last year of her studies, she was involved in projects and workshops concerning the Balkans. She dedicated her final studies project to developing cultural and landscape heritage of Kukes city in Albania.
Elisa has collaborated on projects that involve renovation of buildings in Lisbon as well as planning and modeling of reconstruction. She has been part the team of Armazém & Atelier, our antique furniture refurbishing line.
Elisa has her own band in Bari, Italy where she sings and plays the guitar.
Kali is a Greek architect graduated from National Technical University of Athens in 2018. Kali´s diploma thesis has been about designing a line park-public hub, creating a new urban landscape for people in urban area of Athens following her fascination with the interaction of human and city.
Kali has worked on projects that involve renovation of buildings in Lisbon as well as other atelier projects in Spain and France.
Kali loves music and is a professional pianist.
Yuliia is a Ukrainian student with a degree in Architecture from Kyiv. She is currently a student at Hochschule Anhalt in Dessau in International Architecture program influenced by Bauhaus knowledge.
She was a participant of the Weimar Bauhaus Summer school and the workshop from Politecnico di Milano in Piacenza.
Yuliia has collaborated in projects of renovation of an old building in France and an apartment in the heart of Lisbon with high ceilings and generous light.
Giulia Alberti is an Italian Architect, and a Politecnico di Milano graduate. She is currently doing the final year of her Master studies in Architecture. Giulia´s thesis work was about Milanese social housing from 20’s to 60’s, in particular the Sant’Ambrogio neighborhood in Milan.
Giulia has collaborated on various projects of Atelier from renovation projects in Lisbon to commercial projects in Spain and sustainable design projects in France and Azores as well as our furniture restoration line Armazém & Atelier.
Giulia loves to travel and is inherently a curious person. She speaks Italian, English and Portuguese. Her interests go beyond architecture and to urban design, interior design, photography, art, sociology and sports. She has been a competitive swimmer and after a decade of playing volleyball her team has won the 3rd place in the national championship.
Nadia is an architect and artist from Greece. She has graduated in Democritus’ University in Architectural Engineering. Nadia´s diploma project was about a social hub for creative arts in Athens, and presenting an urban analysis about Athens, an architectural approach for a multi functional theater, a theater school, a gallery, a café and the redesign of a public open space. Her final thesis research project was about the urban transformation of Athens’ historical center.
Nadia has collaborated on many reconstruction and design projects of Atelier HOLCNEROVA in Lisbon and Açores, in reconstruction, interior design and conceptual planning.
Nadia loves cinematography, theater, traveling and spectacular scenery. She speaks Spanish, English and French as well as Greek.
Luiza is a student of architecture from Latvia. She studies at Kaunas University of Technology and is currently on her final year of Bachelor’s degree.
Luiza´s collaboration with Atelier HOLCNEROVA has been on projects of reconstruction and redesign of a living studio in city center of Lisbon, an apartment in a historical neighborhood in Lisbon and a conceptual design project in the old town hilly area of Lisbon called Sete Moinhos.
Luiza’s passion go beyond architecture and urban studies. She loves traveling, learning new languages, design and maybe a good cup of coffee with friends. Luiza speaks Latvian, English, a bit of Spanish, Russian and Lithuanian.
Nika is a Czech Architect graduated from Brno University of Technology. Her master thesis project focuses on places with complicated past and unpleasant present, but with a great potential for the future. She is fascinated with the power of water, which to her is not only a force of nature, but also important economical and cultural element in development of certain regions of Czech republic.
Nika´s collaboration with atelier has taken her from commercial and residential reconstruction projects in Lisbon all the way to mountainous Pyrenees in France.
Nika is an avid reader, surfer and food enthusiast. She speaks French, Czech, Slovakian and English and can order food in many other languages.
